Alright, folks. I have been busy the last couple of days with working on this site and all the late nights have finally paid off! Putting my main website together was definitely the fun part but once I decided I was ready for it to go live, everything just fell apart. First, my website was down for about an hour and that included my emails. Once I got the new website up and running, I discovered that I did not properly transfer my emails so, gosh. I’m not even going to explain that! Let’s just say I’ll be flipping through pages (yes, real paper) of emails for the next few weeks.
Then this there was this blog. It was gone. It would have been real simple to transfer had I actually done things the right way! None of that matters now, though. It’s all up and running and I am feeling quite satisfied and content! There are still a few little thing that I need to fix but they can wait a little while. I’m exhausted! I hope you guys enjoy the new look as much as I do!

Today I had the pleasure of having a quick session with a friend’s two gorgeous kids. We met up park and let the kids out “into the wild” to do their thing. And do their thing was exactly what they did. Little Miss A was a little hesitant at first. She told me that she didn’t really want me to take her picture but that she would since there was a little bribe at home waiting for her. So she smiled for me and I took that first shot and whoa! All of a sudden, she wasn’t thinking of the cake anymore! In no time at all, she had me all over the playground taking shots of her doing this, that, and the other. It was so hard to choose, but these are just a few of my favs.

I like this one on black:

She’s a natural!
Her brother on the other hand, told me that I had to stay in the tennis courts and he closed the door on me! I asked him to let me out and he did, only to lock himself in there! So I had a little talk with him through the fence and he let me in but he made me work hard for these shots! We played chase for a good 15 minutes and I hate to admit it, but I’m already a little sore.

Aren’t they just gorgeous?
A really cool little tidbit – their mom is the author of “The Bright Side of Disaster“. I read this book when it came out last summer and folks, I could not put it down! I took it with me while on vacation with my family and it was so good, I think I finished it in a day! Quite a feat when you’ve got a preschooler and a very clingy baby around! So, moms, go check it out!
And now, I think I’m going to see if I can get my hubby to give me a massage! Goodnight!

Last Thursday, the kids and I took a day trip to Brenham to take a tour of the Bluebell Creamery. It was their first time there and they had a blast! My son is really into learning about how things are made (he’s a huge fan of the show “How It’s Made”) and really enjoyed the tour of the factory. Of course, if you ask him about his favorite part, he’ll tell you it was the part we all got to eat free ice cream!

Afterwards, we set off to take some pictures in the bluebonnet fields all over Highway 290. We found a nice large field behind a McDonalds and that was about the best thing about this part of our little adventure. The kids were not thrilled with the flowers, to say the least. And my son was not into being in a field.
With ant piles.
And bugs.
So, I had a bit of a challenge on my hands but thankfully, McDonalds saved the day! We packed sandwiches for our trip but a promise of a happy meal kept them smiling for a bit in that field and I was able to snap a few pics.

Don’t let that smile fool you! I took several continuous shots and this was one out of about 15 faces, all of which he was making while griping about the field we were in. I’m hoping he’s feeling a little more outdoorsy next year.

It’s finally done!
I’ve updated the look of minnetteD.com and fixed the bug causing the missing scroll bars. Please refresh your page if you are still seeing bit and pieces of the old site. Thanks so much and if you like, leave a comment and tell me what you think!
Thanks,

Today I had the pleasure of meeting and working with a wonderful couple expecting their first child. Folks, these two were amazing! Friendly, fun, stylish and totally in love, these two had me feeling elated when I left their beautiful home. I just loved watching them interact with each other all morning. You can see the love and adoration they had for each other and there is no doubt that they are going to make fantastic parents!
Here are just a few of my favorite shots from today.

Isn’t mom gorgeous?

N and R, thanks for such a great session!
