For those of you who wonder what staying home all day with an 18-month-old is like, it’s a little like this:
She thought it would be a good idea to hang out like this for the majority of the morning and so, whatever makes her happy, right?

Oh, brothers!!
Posted on May 10, 2008
Yesterday, I had my second set of brothers this week and boy, oh boy! That’s all. Boy, oh boy! So this is what it would be like to have two boys!
We first started playing outside. Looking at these handsome boys, you would never be able to guess just how hot and humid it was.
They could be Gap models, no?
When mom and I couldn’t take anymore of the heat, we headed indoors for some dressup fun.
Cuuuute! Here’s big brother making his fiercest knight face.
Great try, T! But like your mom says, you’re much to gentle to convince us you’re mean!
J and boys, thanks so much for such a fantastic morning!

Boys will be Boys

Phew!
I had a morning session today with two of the most energetic brothers ever! I really had my work cut out for me. At first, the younger of the two cuties wasn’t feelin’ me AT ALL. He didn’t like the camera, he didn’t like me speaking, he didn’t really like me. Which is awesome, really, because after I talked him into that first shot, he was hooked! Does this look like a child who doesn’t like the camera?
Yeah, he’s not very camera shy after all. Now his big brother on the other hand… He was a little camera shy .
Oh, who am I kidding! He was all over the place and loved the camera, too!
I just love this one of him tickling his little brother.
And after all that running around, they finally sat still long enough for me to snap a pic of us together.
Aren’t the just adorable!?!
While I love all of the photos from today’s session, I especially love this one.
I hope mom doesn’t mind me posting this but I just had to! This just makes me smile to no end and look how gorgeous mom is!

My Future Scientist
Posted on May 5, 2008
Every year, the school my son attends has a small graduation ceremony for their preschoolers that are off to kindergarten in the fall. Before I had kids I used to think any graduation ceremony for anything other than high school or college were silly, but no fail, every year I cry watching these five-year-olds commence and sort of dreading the day that I would watch Nate walk.
Well, today was that day! My favorite part of the ceremony is when the MC reveals to the audience what each student wants to be when they grow up. Nate wants to be a scientist. No surprise there!
This kid is just too cool for school!
This is the face he made when my sister asked him to make his “graduation face”.
Mena just looooved seeing her brother on stage! She yelled and called for him several times and here she is showing some more appreciation.
Time sure does fly. I can’t believe I have a Kindergartner!
