A Big Day

I met a super friendly family today at the Baptism Party of this adorable baby boy.

Even with all of the day’s happenings and all of the family members in town just for him, he was just as sweet and cooperative as can be!

What a happy little guy!  He did exceptionally well as the center of attention today.

I just love this one of him and his mommy!

So sweet!

How can I possibly not want to have another baby after spending the afternoon with the gorgeous and glowing momma-to-be, J?

And J, you weren’t kidding about those mosquitoes!  I think I got about 10 bites from the 15 whole minutes we spent outside!   It was worth it, though!

My Little Scientist Dude

Yesterday, we spent the morning at the Museum of History and Natural Science with some friends for a play date. It was a fun and long morning full of questions from my son and me answering with, “Um. Well. Let’s see here.” I did lug my camera along but we were having so much fun (if fun to you is chasing down a screaming toddler the size of a normal 9 month old baby) that I never took it out of my bag.

When we got home, I decided to lift the no TV for the summer ban for an hour so that I could possibly rest my eyes for a bit and my son immediately tuned into the Discovery Channel to continue to get his learn on. I’m amazed by this little guy. He is such a sponge! He asked me a few more questions, about faults, and caves, and mining. And I kept referring him back to when we were in Chicago and dug for dinosaur bones at the Navy Pier Children’s Museum. Which reminded me that I DID take pictures there and that I have been neglecting my blog and should totally post some pictures…

After the museum yesterday, I took the kids to have pizza at one of our favorite pizza joints in town where my son posed for me holding MY yummy pizza that he would never in a million years eat because there is “stuff” on it. SMRT!

This morning I met with a lovey couple for an engagement session . Man, it was hot today! It makes me really miss that awesome Chicago weather we had last week on our vacation. But despite the heat, Leah and Buddy totally worked it and didn’t even break a sweat!

I just love the way she is looking at him in this one.

I couldn’t have asked for a better couple for my first e-session!

This one’s my fav.

Just lovely.  Congrats, you two!  And thanks for enduring the heat this morning!  I just wish the big fountains were on…

Cute Cowboys

I wish I could spend a little bit more time on this post, but I’ve got to keep this one brief, too. We’ve just come back from a July 4th vacation and it is taking me a while to get things back in order. If only vacations weren’t so rough to come back from…

This morning I had a super fun play date with some super cute brothers, E & L.

We played indoors and outdoors, dressed up and dressed down, and we even did some dancing!

So adorable!

I had a blast this morning guys!  Can’t wait to play with ya’ll again!
