Merry Christmas

December 29th, 2008

Wow!  I can’t believe how fast Christmas came and went this year!

We kept it super low key this year in our household and have just been spending our time with each other playing with the kids new toys and eating lots of yummy food.  I took very few photos for a change, choosing instead to spend my time enjoying our moments instead of capturing them.  The drawback to this, of couse, is I’m totally going to regret this later.  But for now, I pretty content with not capturing anything.  ;)

I hope you and yours are having a wonderful Christmas and enjoying your holiday.  I will see y’all in the New Year!

Oooh! It’s cold outside!!

December 10th, 2008

Can you believe it?  It was a balmy 75 degrees yesterday afternoon and now, it’s snowing!  The last time it snowed here, it was Christmas Eve four years ago and we were in Chicago freezing our behinds off in 8 degree weather with NO SNOW.  So appropriate for us.

Last week, my daughter turned two and we celebrated by going ice skating Discovery Green Park in Downtown Houston.  I love that park!  My sister was kind enough to tag along and snap some pics for us so that I could actually enjoy myself instead of being behind the camera.  Here are a few using MCP Actions‘ Magic Blog It Boards - a super easy and fast way to create collages for your blog.

It’s December 10th and I’ve taken care of just one Christmas gift!  So bad.  I should work on finishing up my shopping right now.  You know, make lists or something.  But I think I’m going to snuggle up with my hubby while this cold weather is here.  I’m hearing that it’ll last until tomorrow and then, POOF!

It’s Christmas Time!

November 26th, 2008

Just a really quick sneak peak from a session I did this past weekend. I’ve got to rush off and work on the rest before my daughter realizes I’m not sitting next to her. (gasp!)

Aren’t they such a lovely family?!? Can’t wait to get started on their card design :D

Catching Up

November 22nd, 2008

Last month, I was fortunate enough to attend a photography workshop in Grand Rapid, MI given by one of my favorite photographers.  It was an awesome three days of watching, learning, and getting to meet so many talented and inspirational photographers.  Here are just a few of the several hundred shots I took over the course of two days with some amazing models.

In other news, Christmas is just around the corner.  Can you believe it?!?  I’ve had a handful of takers on our Holiday Special and I’ve had so much fun with them, I’m going to extend the offer a few more weeks.  The deadline for the $175 mini Holiday Sessions is December 4th.  I have only a couple more slots available.

Please contact us at info@minnetted.com to book.

I hope everyone is enjoying our “winter” weather!

Playdate with some friends

November 12th, 2008

I don’t normally post sneak peaks so soon after a session but I don’t normally bring my daughter along either.  This morning’s session was for some dear friends of ours and my two-year-old came to hang out and play while I take turns chasing after Lil’ Miss C and Mr. L.  She is so worn out from all the playing and is taking an extra long nap.  Hooray for long naps!  Of course, I knew she would make her way into a couple of shots.  Here she is, making herself comfortable and acting like part of the family.  Can you find her?

So, Lil’ Miss C is a sassy, one…  She was all dressed up looking as gorgeous as can be and all she wanted to do was run around and play hide and seek.  Which means much of our morning was like this:

No worries though.  With a little sugar (a lot, really) and a tiny bit of reverse psychology (ha!) and we managed to get a couple glamor shots in :)

Isn’t she lovely?

Her little brother is just as gorgeous.

I could bite him!  But, you know.  It would hurt, so I didn’t…  :D

Thanks you guys for a fun, fun morning!!  More to come… Oh, and J, I did manage some with the both of them which I am saving just for you.

To the rest of the Interweb (all 5 of you), I miss you much!  Many things have happened in the last couple of weeks and I hope to catch up with you soon.
