“Hey, little guy!”

That’s what my daughter likes to say to her little baby brother every single time she wants his attention and it is so darn cute and so darn catchy that I’ve found myself saying it pretty often at the last newborn session I had.

This little guy was such an angel!  I had a wonderful time chatting with his mommy, a dear friend of mine, while he cuddled, nursed and slept peaceful in her arms.  And this:

He fit so perfectly in it.  I just had to.  The blanket he’s swaddled in was knit for him by the mother of one of my favorite clients.  It’s one of my favorite baby things right now.

It’s a rare, quiet morning here in the D household.  I’m actually up and out of bed before 9 and Adam is quietly sitting in his bouncer while his sister pretends he’s actually having Tea Time with her.  What a great little brother!

Yesterday, I met the most fantastic and lovely young family!  Their sweet little baby girl is a little over one month old and I have to admit that I was a little nervous about photographing a not-so-new, newborn.  She was awake for all of our session and yet, she didn’t cry.  NOT ONCE.  Two hours of me putting her in strange places, naked, and getting all up in her face, and she didn’t fuss or cry at all!  Have you ever heard of such a thing?  Not that I’m complaining.  She is just lovely!

Don’t you just love that faux hawk?!?!

I don’t normally post so many black and whites on this blog, but for this gorgeous family, it is just so fitting.

I only spent a short time with them and it was so very apparent, the love and adoration they had for each other.

He’s Finally Here!

Just a quick little sneak peak tonight from a newborn session earlier today.
Introducing, Baby J!

What a gorgeous little guy! And so cooperative, too. Look what he let us do!

He even took naps when we needed him to.

I especially love this one. We took a quick break for a diaper change and I caught Mom stealing a kiss before we put him in more bowls and on shelves (I kid, I kid…) She misses holding him so much already!

So sweet…

Congrats again, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Grandma!
